File Tweaker (Version 2.0.1) is a very small drag-and-drop application that allows the user to view and edit a file's Type and Creator codes and other Finder flags such as Locked, Invisible, Bundle, Name Locked, Stationery, and Custom Icon. Other information is also shown, such as Created Date, Modified Date, Data Size, Resource Size, and the Default and Custom Icons.

As would be expected of such a simple utility, the user interface is straight forward and functional. A window is presented for each file that is dragged and dropped on the application (multiple files can be dropped at once), and all of the above mentioned Finder information on that file is contained in that window. Changing the information is as simple as clicking and typing the corrected information. Closing the window is achieved by either canceling or saving the changes by clicking on the Cancel or Save buttons, respectively. It is also possible to revert the un-edited values by clicking the Revert button.

Pros: Small utility with a simple and straight forward user interface.

Cons: As with any software that manipulates file resources (such as Res-Edit), corruption of such resources can result if left in the hands of an inexperienced user.
